The issue was caused by a massive, global internet outage affecting Cloudflare, which is a critical piece of infrastructure for websites all over the world.

What happened? Cloudflare is a Content Delivery Network (CDN) that acts as a guard and relay for a huge portion of the internet. When their service went down, it caused a domino effect, leading to widespread access issues for countless services.

Was Membean down? Membean’s core systems remained operational, but because Cloudflare was unable to direct users to our servers, the service was functionally unreachable for you during the outage period.
